Server Pulse (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Server Pulse mobile application and related services at serverspulse.org.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our services.

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

Your name
Your email address
A hashed password (we never store plain-text passwords)
Authentication tokens used to keep you signed in

1.2 Server Monitoring Data

When you add servers to monitor, we process:

Server URLs or IP addresses and ports (encrypted at rest)
Server status (up, down, checking, or maintenance)
Response times, HTTP status codes, and uptime statistics
Incident history related to your monitored servers

1.3 Notifications Data

If you enable notifications, we may collect:

Expo push notification tokens (to send alerts to your device)
Telegram chat ID and username (only if you choose to connect Telegram)
Your notification preferences

1.4 Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect limited technical data such as:

App version
Device type and operating system
Error and diagnostic logs (to fix bugs and improve reliability)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Create and manage your account
Monitor server availability and performance
Send alerts when servers go down or recover
Improve app reliability, performance, and security
Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third parties to operate Server Pulse. They process data only as needed to provide the service:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting and database storage for the Server Pulse backend
Expo — delivery of push notifications to your mobile device
Telegram — optional delivery of server alerts if you connect your Telegram account
Cloudflare — domain and DNS services for serverspulse.org

These providers have their own privacy policies. We do not allow them to use your data for their own marketing.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (AWS). We use industry-standard practices including:

Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
Encryption of sensitive server endpoint data at rest
Secure token storage on your device
Access controls limiting data to authorized systems only

No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

With the service providers listed above, to run Server Pulse
When required by law or valid legal process
To protect our rights, users, or systems from fraud or abuse

6. Notifications

You may receive service-related notifications (for example, when a server goes down or recovers). You can disable push notifications in the app or from your device settings. You can disconnect Telegram at any time from Settings.

7. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. Deletion permanently removes your account, monitored servers, and associated monitoring data, subject to any legal retention requirements.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the email below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children’s Privacy

Server Pulse is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
